Oh, you guys. Apparently, I am incapable of even listening to people TALK about Bluey without crying! My girls are nearly 10 and 12 and they still watch and love Bluey (even though they have seen every episode at least 10 times). I cannot help but sit and watch it with them, of course.
And they definitely have their go-to "let's troll mom" episodes to cue up and inevitably make me cry -- e.g. Baby Race and Sleepytime (I love the discussion of these episodes!)
Just found you all and this was a great first episode for me to start with. What a great book topic. The conflict between Waldorf’s low/no-screen media guidelines and Bluey being a tv juggernaut is interesting to me. Also the aesthetic mismatch is interesting to me. I’ve been curious for a while if any official Steiner or Waldorf body has weighed in on the show considering what a positive light Bluey shines on their educational philosophy in a format that’s unorthodox for them.
Ooooooh that's a really interesting point. I am sure we'll have Kathryn back again when the book comes out — we will have to ask for her input on this one!
HAVEN'T EVEN LISTENED YET BUT AM EXCITED BC KVA IS THE ONLY AMERICAN VOICE I TRUST ON BLUEY! AMAZIN
She's almost too good TBH
such a good convo! I need joe brumm's diariesssssss
